Jackson Speedway Results from 08-16-14

JACKSON, MN – With the Minnesota Corn Growers picking up
the grandstand admission for the race fans on Saturday
night, Aug. 16, the Jackson Speedway saw the return of A
modifieds for the remainder of the season along with a
“Bounty” in the Bohl’s Small Engine and Marine IMCA Sport
Modifieds class. A total of 82 racers turned out for the evening’s
 racing action, which added the Bob Boland Ford IMCA A Modifieds to the program.

The night’s feature wins went to with Megan Lappegard of
Estherville, IA winning her seventh Yellowbook Sport
Compacts feature race of the season. In the Loosbrock
Digging Service IMCA Hobby Stocks, Drew Barglof Sioux
Rapids, IA captured the checkered flag. The Bohl’s Small
Engine and Marine IMCA Sport Modified feature win went to
Dan Paplow Dundee, MN, who claimed a special $400 Bounty
from Cellan Motorsports, LRF Construction and Red Line
Racing Products for unseating Jason Andrews from the
winners’ circle. For the Hometown Motors IMCA Stock Car
class, Jason Mickelson of Storm Lake, IA claimed the
checkered flag, while in the Last Deck 360 Winged Sprint
feature, Derrik Lusk of Jackson, MN earned his first-ever
360 sprint feature victory. Winning the Bob Boland Ford
IMCA A Modified Feature was Jason Briese of Cleghorn, IA.

Racing action continues on Saturday, August 23 with the
annual Great Bike Giveaway Night, with over 100 bicycles
to be given away to youngsters who attend the evening’s
racing action. Hot Laps are at 6:00 p.m. with racing to
follow.
