The Iowa Lakes American Legion baseball team started their spring season this weekend, and came away with a 1-3 record after two doubleheaders. On Saturday, the team dropped two games at Mason City, 7-2 and 15-2. They returned to Spirit Lake on Sunday for a twinbill against Fort Dodge. Game one went to the visitors 14-6, however, Iowa Lakes responded with a 7-6 win in the nightcap. Next up is a trip to Fort Dodge on Saturday for games with Des Moines Dowling and Fort Dodge, then a home doubleheader on Sunday with Mason City.
