The Spirit Lake Indians traveled to Emmetsburg to earn a four-game Lakes Conference match victory over the EHawks Tuesday night by scores of 25-17, 25-20, 19-25, and 25-13. Holly Seemann and Kendra Stokke both had ten kills, while Stokke also notched 25 digs. Amanda Bueltel reached 17 digs and Whitney Berkland had 23 assists. Spirit Lake is now 1-0 in conference and 9-1 overall.
Harris-Lake Park continued it’s recent winning surge with a three-game sweep of Trinity Christian, 25-18, 25-17, and 25-23. Christine Larson dominated with 17 kills. Lydia Brandt was solid all around with 14 assists, twelve digs and seven kills. Also, Noreen Morrow had eight kills, Macy Gunderson notched 14 assists, and Sam Brueggeman had nine digs. HLP is now 10-7 on the season with their homecoming game coming up Thursday night against Graettinger-Terril, which can be heard live on Q102 and streamed at ExploreOkoboji.com.
Speaking of the Knights, they fell four games to Clay Central-Everly, 23-25, 25-22, 16-25, and 21-25. Nikki Brown tallied eleven kills, seven digs and three aces, and Hailley Nelson had ten assists.
In other volleyball action, Ruthven-Ayrshire fell in five games to WCLT, 25-20, 16-25, 20-25, 25-18, and 11-15. And up in Minnesota, Fairmont was swept in three games by Marshall, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18.
