A late rally comes up a run short for the Spirit Lake baseball team, as they fall 8-7 in their regular season finale at Storm Lake Tuesday night. Trailing 8-5 entering the seventh, Mitch Peschon smashed a two-run homer to pull the Indians within a run; however, Spirit Lake was unable to push across the tying run. The regular season closes with a 13-11 record overall for Spirit Lake, and a 7-7 mark in the Lakes Conference. The Indians will open District play Saturday at Estherville-Lincoln Central.
