Improves Remain Perfect in Lakes Conference Volleyball

Plenty of high school volleyball action throughout the area last night and the Spirit Lake Indians notched another Lakes Conference match win, defeating Cherokee three-games-to-one, 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 25-18. Kendra Stokke finished with a double-double of thirteen kills and 25 digs. Paige Krause registered nine assists, five kills and three aces. The Indians are now 11-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play heading into Thursday’s contest with LeMars, which will be broadcast live on KUOO and at ExploreOkoboji.com.

Also in the Lakes Conference, Emmetsburg fell to LeMars in four games, 25-22, 25-14, 24-26, 25-22, and Western Christian took down Estherville-Lincoln Central in three games, 25-7, 25-16, 25-11.

Graettinger-Terril went the distance but could not escape with a win against West Bend-Mallard, taking a five-game loss, 25-22, 10-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-13. Nikki Brown tallied a career-high 20 kills and Lindsay Flaharty had 24 assists.

Martin County West defeated Cleaveland in a three-game sweep, 25-6, 25-11, 25-16 and Round Lake-Brewster dropped a three-gamer, 25-17, 25-14, 25-10.
