Jackson County Central entered the state volleyball playoffs ranked number two in the Class AA poll, and once again the Huskies fell short of their state tournament goals, losing in three sets to Marshall in the sectional finals. JCC, who has not made it to state since winning the title in 2003, lost in game scores of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-13. The loss ends the season for Jackson County Central with an overall record of 26-4. Marshall will play Thursday in the state quarterfinals at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul against Esko. At 27-4, Marshall enters as the top overall seed.
