Clay Central-Everly took advantage of numerous turnovers and missed shots in the paint to hand Harris-Lake Park their first loss in Cornbelt Conference play, 57-46, on Saturday. Jared Schoelerman hit six shots for thirteen points and Caleb Mackey finished with a dozen leading the Mavericks’ attack. The Wolves’ Brady Nissen and Eli Ihnen each had thirteen, as well for the Conference Champions. CCE now sits at 9-8 on the year and 8-4 in the league. HLP drops to 17-4 and 9-1. These two teams will play each other in the first round of the Class 1A boys basketball districts.
