Eli Ihnen paced a balanced attack with 14 points, as the Wolves concluded their season with an 18-5 record. The Lions received 15 points from Clayton Busch and advance to the district final in Sheldon on Thursday, where they will face Boyden-Hull. The Comets beat Gehlen Catholic 67-55.

Also in Class 1A, Storm Lake St. Mary’s showed why they are one of the heavy favorites to reach Des Moines, pounding Ruthven-Ayrshire 59-9. Next up in Thursday’s district final in Emmetsburg will be Laurens-Marathon, who up-ended Armstrong-Ringsted 59-44.
