The Okoboji cross country team had an impressive showing Saturday at the Tim Thomas Classic, hosted by Galva-Hostein High School. The Pioneers finished third in the A Class of the boys competition. Their 129 points trailed only Sioux City Bishop Heelan and MOC-Floyd Valley. Joe Hilsabeck crossed the finish line in fourth place at 17:08.
Clare Eckard once again paced the Okoboji girls team with an eleventh place time of 17:23. The Pioneers had 221 points, good for seventh overall in the Class A girls competition. MOC-Floyd Valley took first.
