Dordt College will have a Spirit Lake grad on its roster for next season. Shae Heinrichs, a 6’1 220-pound senior, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play football for the Defenders. The NAIA school in Sioux Center will begin its season on September 4 at home against Concordia. Heinrichs played in all eight games this season for the Indians and tallied 29 solo tackles, including three for loss from the defensive line spot. Heinrichs also competed in the heavyweight division for Spirit Lake Park wrestling, qualifying for the District championships and tallying a 20-win campaign this year.
