County bragging rights were on the line last night as Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn traveled to South O’Brien, and after two overtime sessions, the Wolverines earned a 58-54 victory. Greg Hegstad paced the Hawks with 14 points, while Joe Zeutenorst dropped in eleven, and Matt Queck added ten. HMS falls to 3-4 with the loss. South O’Brien’s Adam Paulsen led all scorers with 23, and teammate Chas Biery was right behind with 22 to bump the Wolverines record to 6-2. The Hawks are off until January 3, when they play at Sioux Central.
