Hawkeyes Ink Hoops Recruit, Fuller Announces Transfer

The University of Iowa has another basketball commitment. Six-foot-7, 215-pound forward Melsahn Basabe has signed a National Letter of Intent to play in Iowa City next school year. The Glen Cove, New York product is described by Hawkeyes head coach Fran McCaffery as a “versatile forward who is a terrific athlete and can play the point or the back of the press.” He become the third member of Iowa’s incoming recruiting class.

Former Iowa forward Aaron Fuller has announced he is transferring to Southern California and will sit out the upcoming season. The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder from Arizona averaged 9.7 points and 6.2 rebounds while starting 22 of 30 games last season.
