HLP scored early and often in a blowout 86-6 win over CCE in
Lake Park. The Wolves had 187 yards on the
ground to complement 122 yards through the air. Quarterback Colin Brons was six
for seven passing to go along with two rushing touchdowns. Running back Kade
Heikens rushed for 62 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns to go along with
a 65 yard punt return for a touchdown. Tanner Hiveley had a 50 yard kickoff
return for a touchdown and Eli Ihnen had a 28 yard touchdown catch, a 44 yard
touchdown catch, and a 5 yard touchdown run. Defensively, HLP had four sacks
including two for Brons. The Wolves improve to 5-2 (4-1 District) and travel to
Kingsley-Piersen next Friday. CCE was led offensively by Chaz Brown who rushed
for 75 yards on 15 carries. He scored the Mavericks lone touchdown from 12
yards out on the ground. CCE is 0-7 (0-5 District) and hosts
Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn next Friday in Everly.
