The Estherville-Lincoln Central Girls basketball team has
advanced to the State Championship for the second time in the past three years,
as they knocked off MOC-Floyd

Class 3A semi-finals.

Emily Kirchner led the Midgets with 18 points, which
included six straight clutch free throws in the fourth quarter. She also had
eight rebounds.   Allie Sievert added 15, and came away with
five steals.

MOC-Floyd
Valley ends its season at

top-ranked, two-time defending champion Assumption Davenport in the title game,
tonight at 8 o’clock, at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
The Knights beat Cascade, 63-26, yesterday afternoon.

ELC was defeated in the Class 2A State Championship game in 2011.
