The Emmetsburg E’Hawks squared off in a doubleheader with their Lakes Conference foe, the Cherokee Braves, on Tuesday night. Sophomore Paige Naig scored 22 points, after just six points the night before, but Cherokee got its first conference victory, taking a 44-39 decision over the E’Hawks. Emmetsburg (1-9, 0-6 Lakes Conference)heads to Spirit Lake on Friday night.
BOYS
Ryan Kleigl scored 13 for Emmetsburg but the Cherokee Braves knocked off the E’Hawks 52-40. Emmetsburg (6-3, 2-3 Lakes Conference). Emmetsburg battle Spirit Lake on Friday.
