Emmetsburg took advantage of a 10-1 run to end the first quarter against Sioux Central, then held the Rebels in check throughout the second half to pick up a 57-47 victory in Class 2A District play. Sioux Central was led by Brad Ripke with a game high 22 points. The Rebels cap the season at 8-14. The E-Hawks’ Ryan Kliegl paced the offensive attack with 17 points. Emmetsburg has won 7 in a row and improve to 14 – 8. They advance to the semifinals where the E-Hawks will travel to South O’Brien on Thursday. That game can be heard on Y100 starting at 6:45pm.
