The softball all-conference teams for the Cornbelt are
littered with area players, as well. Harris-Lake
Park sophomores Noreen
Morrow and Macy Gunderson each received first-team accolades. Morrow, a first
baseman, led the Lady Wolves in batting average, hits, and RBI, while
Gunderson, chosen as a utility player, was the team’s top pitcher. Junior Emily
Anderson also made the first-team as a utility player. On the second-team list
from HLP was sophomore catcher Grace Winters and sophomore outfielder Miranda
Brueggeman. Graettiner-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire had one representative on the
first-team, senior outfielder Hailley Nelson, who led the Knights in runs and
stolen bases. GTRA was well represented on the second-team all-conference
squad, with senior catcher Nikki Brown, junior pitcher Alyssa Hoffman,
sophomore shortstop Brooke Hoffman, and utility players Marly Bakken and Maddy
Schany, a sophomore and senior, respectively. For Clay Central-Everly, junior
utility player Emily Jobst and freshman infielder Caitlin Haroldson were both
second-team honorees. League champ, North Union,
finished with eight all-conference selections.
