College Football Signing Day, Wednesday

Tomorrow is College Football Signing Day, where high school seniors, around the country, commit to playing for colleges and Universities.

The University of Iowa currently has 17 commitments, from recruits around the country, 16 of which are rated as three-star athletes by Rivals.com 

The Hawkeyes will also have a quarterback and linebacker, with a state championship under his belt, walk on to the team next fall.

 

Spirit Lake’s Paul Brown, who led the Indians to the State Championship game each of the past two seasons, and the State title last season, has decided to walk-on at Iowa, after paying a visit to Iowa City over the weekend. 

Brown will be one of ten seniors, from Spirit Lake High School to sign letters of intent with various schools, tomorrow.  The Indian football team will hold a Signing Day event, at 7:30 tomorrow morning, at the Sami Center in Spirit Lake.

 

Iowa State has received 22 commitments from seniors around the country.  According to Rivals.com, the Cyclones top recruit is Jake Campos, a 6’7, 250 pound, four-star offensive line man from West Des Moines.  Rivals has twelve Cyclone recruits rated as three-star athletes.
