The Spirit Lake Park Track team will be at Buena Vista University, this afternoon, to compete in an invitational with eight other teams, including Spencer, Estherville-Lincoln Central, and Emmetsburg.
This past Saturday, Spirit Lake Park opened up their season with an invitational at Buena Vista.
The Girls’ 4×800 relay team of Dondi Schmidt, Taylor
Sieperda, Bailey Heikens, and Mikey Heikens set a new Spirit Lake
Park indoor record with
at time of 10:31.95, which was good for a first place finish.
Sieperda also recorded first place individual finishes in
both the 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash.
Her time in the 200 was 27.66, and her time in the 400 was 62.78.
Jenna McCoy placed first in the long jump, leaping 15’7 ¼”.
The Boys got a first place finish from in the 1600 Meters
from Will Norris, whose time was 4:28.73.
Austin Folsom and Bryson McCabe finished second and third, resepectively,
in the 200 Meter Dash. Folsom’s time was
24.13 seconds. McCabe finished in 24.17
seconds.
The girls’ sixth place Distance Medley Relay team of Kelsey
Delperdang, Kendra Stokke, Emma Dau, and Mariah Wills, set a new Spirit Lake
Park indoor record, with
a time of 4:49.37.
