Keely Bracelin of Okoboji fired her first career no-hitter and the Pioneers defeated Manson-Northwest Webster 10-0 in five innings Thursday night. The senior struck out five and credits the error-free effort of her supporting cast for the achievement. That defensive help came as a result of preventing a single Cougars batter to hit the ball out of the infield, which was clearly due to the success of her drop ball. Offensively, the Pioneers saw leadoff hitter Mikkinzie Peschong score three times and drive in a run. Senior Makenzie Anderson had two hits, two RBI and a run scored and Maggie Rohlk drove in a pair on two singles. Okoboji is now 11-7 on the season.

In other softball action from last night, Harris-Lake Park lost a high scoring battle with George-Little Rock, 18-10. Deni Peters went 4-for-5 with three RBI and Lydia Brandt hit a home run in a losing effort for the Wolves. And Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was shutout in a doubleheader sweep by Akron-Westfield, losing by scores of 11-0 and 10-0, both in five innings.
