I’m very proud of the way our guys battled today. Last time we played ELC, Evan was the only one who won in singles, and the rest of the matches weren’t extremely competitive. Today, Caleb got a huge win against a very strong player in Grant Love in 3 sets, and both Ben and Paul split sets and got it to a 3rd. And the matches at 5&6 were also more competitive than before, so everyone really stepped up, fought hard and improved upon their performance last week. We didn’t get to finish 2&3 doubles as in the postseason, the meet ends once a team gets 5 wins, which ELC was able to get at #1 doubles. The guys gave it what they had with maximum effort, and even though we weren’t able to advance deeper into the postseason, it was a great year, only losing to Spencer and ELC. And the great news is we have 5 of the top 6 returning next year. Ben will definitely be missed. He had a great career, and I know those coming back will work hard this summer, will improve a lot, and next year I anticipate an even more amazing season!
