After two rounds at the Northwest Iowa Amateur Golf Tournament, Scott Benson of
Jackson, Minnesota stands alone atop the leaderboard. Benson shot a
second-consecutive 7-under-par 65, putting him at minus-14 through 36 holes and
with a three-stroke lead. South African Erik Van Rooyen sits in second, followed
by Brett Benson of Jackson, who is tied for third at ten-under. Spirit Lake alum
Matt Weeks is tied for ninth, five shots under par. Play continues Saturday.
