Baldwin, Indians Run Well at Sioux City Metro

In their first meet since returning to the No. 1 ranking in Class 2A, the Spirit Lake Park boys cross country team ran to a second place team finish at the Sioux City Metro Invite. Sioux Falls Lincoln was the lone team ahead of the Indians, who were paced by Alec Baldwin’s overall top individual time of 15:49. Keith Byers came in fourth, Will Norris was two seconds behind in seventh, Kyle Anderson 24th, Gabe McCoy 25th, and Daniel Stover 33rd.

The seventh-ranked Spirit Lake Park girls ran to the fifth place team finish, led by Brianna Brunsvold and KJ Veldman, who finished tenth and eleventh, respectively. Dondi Schmidt was 18th, Jessie Kabele 24, Justine Heinitz 31st and Liz Skogerboe was 34th.
