(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council Wednesday approved a lease agreement for the temporary relocation of the Public Library while construction of a new city complex is underway. It will be housed in the former Arnolds Barkery location at the Lakes Center Mall in Arnolds Park.
The council last month approved an agreement for the temporary relocation of the Police and Fire Departments as well. They will be operating out of the former Overhead Door Sales and Service location just off Highway 71 in Arnolds Park.
Temporary arrangements for city administrative offices are still being finalized.
The construction is expected to take about a year to complete. The new city complex will be located on the site of the current city hall, which will be demolished to make way for the new facility. The city is financing the project through a $15 million revenue bond.
