Debaters Finish 5th In State

Jordan Hanson spoke his way to the Iowa High School Speech Association State Championship in Congressional debate this weekend leading OSL Debaters to a 4th Place finish. His teammate, Haley Bushee placed 5th, and Jay Oldenkamp, Andrew Wollenburg, and Miranda Johnson all earned Superior Senator Awards for being in the Finals House. Students compete in four sessions, and the top 16 students advanced to the Finals.
