Indian Boys and Girls Hoops Knock Off Emmetsburg

The Spirit Lake Boys basketball team jumped out to a 24-15
halftime lead, on the road against Emmetsburg, last night.  The E-Hawks rallied to cut the Indian lead to
just one, in the third quarter, but Spirit
Lake hung on to win,
44-32.  Here’s point guard Paul Brown,
who led the Indians with 15.

Loenser’s thoughts on the win

 

That’s Indians’ coach Nate Loenser, whose team picked up its
fourth straight win and improved to 9-3, and is set to face Spencer on Friday.

 

The Spirit Lake Girls snapped a two-game losing streak, last
night with a 58-20 win over Emmetsburg. 
Emma Dau scored 21 points to pace the Indians, who played their second
straight game without leading scorer KJ Veldman.

 

Reinking says it was good to get a victory

The Spencer Girls knocked off Sheldon, last night,
49-26.  The Spencer boys were beaten by
Sheldon, 53-40.

 

The South O’Brien girls beat Cherokee, 61-56. 

 

The Clay Central-Everly Girls registered a 44-43 home win
over Laurens-Marathon.  The Laurens
Marathon boys trounced the Mavericks, 72-27.
