The Spencer girls downed Emmetsburg, 40-23. Spencer got 17 from Kirstin Martindale, Emmetsburg was led by Alexa Naig with 9 points. The Spencer girls improve to 10-6 and Emmetsburg drops to 1-13. Spencer will be at Newell Fonda on Thursday, while Emmetsburg will travel to Storm Lake on Friday.
The Okoboji girls had their five-game winning streak snapped, as they fell to Central Lyon, 72-48. Megan Peschong led the Pioneers with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Abby Taylor scored 13.

North Union topped Clay Central-Everly, 39-26. Estherville-Lincoln Central beat Storm Lake, 68-24. Sibley-Ocheydan knocked off Sioux Center, 52-39. Sioux Central was a winner over Alta Aurelia 53-27, Newell Fonda downed Laurens Marathon 85-33 and Pocahontas beat SEWG 53-44
The Okoboji boys also came up short against the Lions, as they were beaten 54-44. Alex Heller scored 14, for Okoboji, Holt Hunziker had 13 points and six rebounds. Here’s coach Ryan Paulsen.
