HLP Girls Clinch Share of Cornbelt Title; Boys Improve to 16-1

The Harris-Lake Park Boys and Girls each got wins over Clay
Central-Everly.  The girls are now 13-6, and
claimed at least a share of the Cornbelt Conference title, after winning a
close one, 51-48. 

 

The boys trounced the Mavericks, 82-16 to improve to 16-1.  HLP is home against
Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on Friday.

The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys fell to South O’Brien,
64-51.  Freshman
Jordan Japenga had 15 points, all from three point range in the second half to
pace the Hawks.  The HMS Girls were
beaten 50-26, after scoring just nine points in the first half.  Here’s their coach Mark

The Okoboji Girls topped
Boyden-Hull, 60-37, they’re now 15-5, overall, and 11-5 in the Siouxland
Conference.  They travel to MOC-Floyd Valley, on Friday.  The Okoboji boys fell 66-34, here’s their

The North Union Girls downed
Corwith-Wesley-Luverne, 63-42. 

 

The Central
Lyon boys knocked off Sibley-Ocheydan, 54-33.  While the Sibley-Ocheydan girls fell, 52-38.

 

The Spencer boys were clipped by Storm Lake,
51-48.  The Spencer girls downed Storm
Lake, 69-27.
