The Spirit Lake Girls basketball team got 23 points from
senior K.J. Veldman, and 17 from senior Alissa Christoffer, as the Indans
knocked off Emmetsburg, 60-33. Alexa
Naig led the E-Hawks with 18.
The Indians are now 12-7 overall, and 8-5 in the Lakes
Conference. They have two regular season
games left, at Worthington
on Monday, and then home against Spencer on Tuesday.
The Okoboji Girls were beaten by MOC-Floyd Valley, 66-29. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn knocked off Spalding
Catholic, 59-33. Sibley-Ocheydan downed
Boyden-Hull, 50-39. North
Union knocked off West Bend Mallard, 38-27. Western Christian topped Spencer, 76-47.
The Harris-Lake Park Girls clinched the Cornbelt Conference
title, last night, with a 64-51 win over Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven Ayrshire. The Wolves were paced by junior Noreen
Morrow’s 18 points and 17 rebounds. They’re
now 14-6 overall, and 7-1 in the conference.
They’ll host Trinity Christian in a 1A Girls Regional matchup, this
Thursday.
