The Harris-Lake Park Boys improved to 20-1, and 9-0 in the
Cornbelt Conference, with a 68-45 win over
Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire. Senior
Eli Ihnen became Harris-Lake
Park’s All-Time Leading
Scorer. He had 28 points for H-LP who
has won the Cornbelt Conference title for the third straight year. Tanner Hively scored 15 and Collin Brons
chipped in 12, for the Wolves, who wrap up the regular season with road games,
on Tuesday and Thursday of next week, against Southwest Star Concept and
Spencer.
The Spirit Lake Boys led Emmetsburg by 16, heading into the
fourth quarter of last night’s game, when E-Hawks’ senior Jake Jackson caught
fire and scored 12 of his 31 points in the fourth, to cut the Indians’ lead to
three, but that was as close as Emmetsburg would get, as Spirit Lake held on to
win it, 56-53.
Alec Henrickson led Spirit Lake
with 14 points. Paul Brown chipped in
12, for the Indians, who host Spencer, in their regular season finale, on
Tuesday.
The LeMars boys downed Estherville-Lincoln Central, 81-49. Trinity Christian knocked off Clay
Central-Everly, 61-13. West Bend-Mallard
downed North Union, 50-34. The Western Christian boys edged Spencer,
58-57. Hartley-Melvin Sanborn fell to
Spalding Catholic, 47-42. Boyden-Hull
beat Sibley-Ocheydan, 67-43.
