The Spirit Lake boys are on their way to a Class 2A District 2 final Tuesday in Spencer by beating Okoboji 48-35. It was a good first quarter by the Indians that set the tone early as Spirit Lake led 14-3 after 1. Okoboji would settle down after that but could not get over the hump and lost by 13. Spirit Lake had 2 players in double figures, Paul Brown with 13 and Alec Henrickson with 12. Okoboji had 11 points from Holt Hunziker off the bench. The Pioneers say goodbye to 7 seniors and finish the season at 5-18. Spirit Lake is now 16-7 and will play Sheldon on Tuesday night in Spencer at 7 PM on KUOO. Sheldon beat Sioux Central 58-33.
Other 2A scores had Hull Western Christian beating Unity Christian 66-42 and Sioux Center beat South O’Brien 63-48. HWC plays Sioux Center in the other part of the substate
