Spirit Lake Girls Looking Forward to State

The Sprit Lake Girls basketball team will be in action, on
Tuesday, as the Indians face Estherville-Lincoln Central in round one of the State High
School basketball tournament.  The Indians advanced to State with a win over
Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, last Saturday, where they overcame a nine-point first
half deficit.  Here’s Spirit Lake
senior K.J. Veldman.

That’s Spirit
Lake senior Kendra
Stokke, along with her coach Rick Reinking, whose team will be looking for its
first win, this season, against the Midgets.
The Indians fell to ELC, 70-36, in December, in a game where Veldman was
out with a shoulder injury.  The Midgets
also beat the Indians, 51-36, in January, shortly after Veldman returned.

Coverage from Wells Fargo Arena, in Des Moines, starts around 4:45, Tuesday
afternoon, on KUOO.
