State-bound Spirit Lake Girls Off To Des Moines

The Spirit Lake Girls basketball team is headed for Des Moines, today, where
they’ll face Lakes Conference rival Estherville-Lincoln Central, in Round one
of the Class 3A State Tournament, tomorrow afternoon.

There will be two pep buses transporting Indian fans to
Wells Fargo Arena, in Des Moines,
on Tuesday.  You can reserve a spot on
the bus until noon, Monday, at the school office; that’s also where you can
purchase a ticket to tomorrow’s game for $8, until 3:30 p.m. today.

 

If you can’t make it to the game, tomorrow, you can always
listen to it on Campus Radio KUOO. 
Pre-game coverage starts, Tuesday afternoon, at 4:45.

 

The team that eliminated the Spirit Lake
boys’ team is headed to State.  Sheldon
knocked off Western Christian in overtime, 64-57, Saturday night, in the Class
2A Substate 1 Championship. 

 

As for the team that eliminated the Harris Lake-Park boys, Rock Valley
was beaten by Boyden-Hull, 67-45, in the Class 1A Substate 1 Championship.
