Lakers Nab ICCAC Mens Tournament Crown

The Iowa Lakes Community College Mens Basketball team won Iowa
Community College Athletic Conference tournament championship, yesterday, with
a 64-51 win over Ellsworth. 

 

It’s
the Lakers’ first ICCAC championship in school history.  They’re now headed to the National Tournament
for the first time in thirteen years.  It
starts on March 19th in Danville,
Illinois.  ILCC came into yesterday’s game ranked 11th
nationally. 

 

Deondre
Parks scored 17 to lead Iowa
Lakes.  Also scoring for the Lakers was Ben Shellim with 14, Kelly Madison with 12, Josh Schaben and Diamontae McKinley with 5, Kevin Larson and and Colton Neff with 4, and Mark Miedema with 3.

 

Parks
and Kelly Madison, were named to the All-Conference Tournament team.  Ben Shellam was named tournament MVP.
