The Spencer
High School boys’ soccer
team opened its season with a 6-0 win over Spirit Lake Park-Okoboji, yesterday
afternoon in Spencer. Cole Loehr scored
the first goal of the season, for the Tigers, fourteen minutes into the first
half. Zach Vanderah scored the second,
three minutes later.
The Girls’ game between the same two teams, scheduled for
yesterday in Spirit
Lake, was postponed.
The Spirit Lake Park-Okoboji boys host Unity Christian, Thursday
at 4:30 at the Bedell Family YMCA Soccer Complex. The Girls will play at Unity Christian at
that same time.
