Alec Baldwin, former cross country & track standout at
Spirit Lake High School, and currently running as a freshman for
the Iowa State Cyclones, placed first place this past weekend at the San
Francisco State University Distance Carnival in California.
Baldwin was first in the Mens
1500 meters, as he set a new meet record time of 3:49.73. It was his
first meet victory at the university level of competion.
He finished 6th in the Big 12 Conference indoor meet on Feb.
24th in the 800 meter dash with a time of 1:54 this past winter in
Ames, IA.
