The Okboji Boys and Girls Track teams placed first and
third, respectively, Friday afternoon at the Western Christian Invitational, in
Hull.
The Pioneers’ Chris Albright took first in the 400 meter
dash, with a time of 52.35 seconds.
Jordan Hanna placed third in 53.39 seconds.
Albright was also the top finisher in the 400 meter hurdles,
with a time of 56.87 seconds.
Joe Hilsabeck finished first in the 800 meter run. His time was 2:08.46.
Colby Kraninger placed second in the 3200 meter run, with a
time of 10:48.6. He took fourth in the
1600 meter run. Dakota Kraninger placed
third in the 3200 meters.
Dalton Syverson placed first, in the high jump. He jumped 6’4, on Friday.
Syverson placed second, Friday, in both the 110 and 400
meter hurdles. His time in the 110 was
15.19 seconds. His time in the 400 was
58.75 seconds.
The Pioneers’ Jacob Sauter took first in the shot put, with
a throw of 47’10.75. Austin Kolegraff
placed first in the discus, with a toss of 143’05. Sauter took third.
The Sibley-Ocheydan Boys placed sixth on Friday. The Generals got a first place finish in the
long jump, from Dillon Thies, who jumped 19’9.75.
Lucas Haack finished second in the 200 meter dash, with a
time of 23.24 seconds.
For the Okoboji girls, Liz Elrich placed first in the 800
meter run in 2:45.14.
Olivia Albright placed second, for the Pioneers, in
1:12.18.
Megan Peschong was third in the 1500 meter run. Her time was 5:44.64. Clare Eckard finished third in the 3000 meter
run, with a time of 12:34.3.
Abby Taylor
took second in the shot put, with a throw of 32’09.75. She also placed fourth in the discus. Darby Jones tied for third in the high jump.
The Sibley-Ocheydan Girls placed fourth overall, and got two
first place finishes from Leah Sievert.
Sievert was the top finisher in both the 1500 and 3000 meter runs. Her time in the 1500 was 5:02.58, and her
time in the 3000 was 5:02.58.
