Okoboji Softball Gets Road Win At Pocahontas

Okoboji and Pocahontas Area were tied for most of the game on Tuesday night, but
the Pioneers got two crucial runs in the top of the sixth to beat the Indians
5-3 in non-conference softball.

Olivia Rohlk was 2-for-3 at the plate
with 2 RBI.  Emily Wintz and Brooklyn Barnett were also 2-for-3 with a run
scored.  Savannah Heithus got the win on the mound.  She gave up all three runs
(all earned) on nine hits.  She struck out four and walked one.  Okoboji is 8-11
and plays at Sheldon Wednesday.

Jocelyn Johnson was the losing pitcher.  She gave up all five runs (all earned) on eight hits.  She struck out one and
walked four.  Rose Meyer was 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Indians.  Jordyn
Radig was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI.  Pocahontas Area is 1-15.
