Overall, the guys played extraordinary tennis today. JD Schneider and Owen Riphagen both got a singles win before having to play guys from 2nd ranked in the state Sergeant Bluff-Luton. JD really did well getting 4 games off of the #1 seed. In doubles JD Gravert and Tucker ran into two guys who played extremely well. And they still almost pulled out the match tiebreak to win. And Alex and Luke went the deepest in the tournament. They lost in the semifinals to SBL, but splits sets and lost the match tiebreak. So they were just a tiebreak win away from qualifying for the individual state tournament. They played the best I have seen them play. They got extremely close to a state tournament entry, and they ended in 3rd place. So, it was a good day overall for our team.
