Lila “Gabby” Henderson, 80, of Spirit Lake passed away on April 15, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Lila Kay Henderson was born on June 11, 1944, to George and Emma (Omvig) Henderson in Spirit Lake, IA. After graduating from Spirit Lake High School, she enlisted in US Army and earned her Bachelor of Science degree while serving in the Army. Gabby was honorably discharged from the US Army after 20 plus years of service where she primarily was a recruiter. Following her honorable discharge, she worked as a Financial Planner for Whidbey Island Bank in Oak Harbor, WA.
In her free time, she enjoyed bowling in her younger years, traveling in RV across the country, wintering in Texas and picked up and became a great golfer in her retired years.
Gabby is survived by her brothers Don (Barb) Henderson of Spirit Lake; George (Jessie) Henderson of Milford; sister Luella Anderson of Spirit Lake; nieces Becky, Kim, Sandy, Denise, Michelle, Vickey, and a nephew Ken.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Harold Henderson.
