Iowa State football media day was Friday August 4th in Ames. Head coach Matt Campbell opened up the press conference by talking about the ongoing gambling investigation.
The Iowa State football team has a couple of area athletes on the team. Zack Anderson of Estherville Lincoln Central is now a redshirt freshman and Coach Campbell was impressed by his transformation from year one to year two.
Another area athlete is Kooper Ebel from Hartley Melvin Sanborn. He is listed as a freshman linebacker and could see some playing time this season.
