Taylor Sieperda participated in the Midwest Regional Swim Meet in Minneapolis, MN over the weekend. The meet is made up of swimmers from seven states and has over 1000 athletes participating. The Spirit Lake 7th grader is a member of the Bedell Family YMCA swim team and also the Sioux City Mariners swim team. She received high totals for the 13-14 girls age group with 124 points, and also won the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.62 seconds, a new meet record. On top of that, 13-year old Sieperda picked up victories in the 100 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke.
