Wednesday marked day two of the men’s and women’s National Junior College golf championships. Iowa Lakes freshman Macy Milburn, who struggled on day one, recovered to shoot a 94, improving by seven strokes. She will tee off at 7:00 central time Wednesday morning for the final 18 holes in Florida. Over in Arizona, ILCC’s Jarvis Weber and Scott Benson remained within reach of each other on day two, but fell further from the lead pack. Weber fired a 7-over par 79, and is 12 shots off the pace at minus-six. Benson was a stroke better on Wednesday. His 6-over par 78 puts him at eight over for the tournament. Benson will hit the links first today, teeing off at 10:39 this morning. Weber will begin his third round around 11:30.
