The Spirit Lake-Okoboji girls tennis squad took another small step toward a berth in the Class 1A Iowa State Team Tennis Meet this weekend. SL-O defeated Bishop Heelan 5-1 in the Regional Semifinal at Storm Lake on Saturday. Alli Gerking, Aubry Kolegraff, Shirley Coenen, and KJ Veldman all won their singles matches in straight sets, while Gerking and Kolegraff took the top doubles match, dropping just three games total. Spirit Lake-Okoboji will travel back to Storm Lake this (Monday) afternoon to face off with Red Oak in the Regional Final at 3:00.
