Three Spencer Tigers finished in the top ten individually Friday in the Iowa High School State Boys Golf Meet for Class 3A. Jay Monahan shot a 77 and is tied for third, while Joe Clark is a stroke back at 78 and Jordan Oltman’s 79 ties him for seventh. Spencer combined for a 320 team total, which leads the competition by three shots.
Okoboji’s Caden Thurgood recorded an 86 in the opening round, putting him 14 shots off the pace in the Class 2A meet.
Both meets will conclude Saturday with the second and final rounds.
