Down at the boys state high school golf meet, the Spencer Tigers fell two shots shy of winning the Class 3A title. Spencer led after day one on Friday by three strokes, but Ballard rallied on Saturday for the win. Jay Monahan tied for second individually with a 152 two-day total, while Joe Clark was seven shots back to finish seventh. In Class 2A, Okoboji’s Caden Thurgood ended his weekend with a two-day total of 169 to tie for 30th place.
