GIRLS
* Okoboji dropped a Siouxland conference game to Sheldon on Monday night 47-42.
* Okoboji led by nine midway through the 3rd quarter but a 22-8 run by the Orabs gave them a five point lead which would be the final margin of victory.
* Junior Taylor Poppema scored 13 for the second straight game.
* Okoboji (3-4, 0-4 Siouxland Conference) has three days off before heading to Rock Rapids on Friday for a conference doubleheader with Central Lyon.
BOYS
* Okoboji is still looking for its first conference win after the Sheldon Orabs defeated the Pioneers 54-39 on Monday night.
* Senior Brady Reinig scored 16 points, 14 in the first half including four 3-pointers.
* The difference in the game came in the 3rd quarter. After Reinig hit two consecutive triples at the end of the first half to make it 28-25, Sheldon outscored Okoboji 16-0 in the 3rd quarter.
* Okoboji suffered two scoring droughts: one of six minutes in the 1st quarter and all eight minutes of the 3rd.
* The Pioneers (1-5, 0-4 Siouxland Conference) have three days to practice before traveling to Rock Rapids on Friday for another conference matchup with Central Lyon.
