For the first time since Iowa went to a dual state tournament format, the Okoboji Pioneers won their sectional on Saturday, sending six wrestlers to the district tournament in the process. The host Pioneers edged out Graettinger-Terril and 3rd place Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn for the championship. Okoboji notched points in all 14 weight classes, bolstering the winning efforts. Tanner Taylor, Zach Jones, and Doug Schwaller all won their weight classes. Both Graettinger-Terril and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn deliver seven wrestlers to district with four sectional champions from HMS and two from GT.
