The Emmetsburg E’Hawks journey to state was halted on Saturday night as they played their second straight game to two points. Unfortunately, Emmetsburg was on the wrong side of it this time, losing by a pair 52-50 to Kuemper Carroll Catholic in a 2A Substate game, falling just a step short of the state tournament. Emmetsburg closes out its season at 16-8.
