In preparation for the Spirit Lake Invitational this Saturday, the Indians volleyball team earned a five-game victory at Sibley-Ocheyedan on Tuesday. The Generals split the first four games with Spirit Lake in back-and-forth fashion, and in the decisive fifth game, the Indians garnered a 15-9 decision for the match victory. Cara Vale paced the offensive attack with thirteen kills, while Holly Seemann had a dozen to go along with three blocks. Kendra Stokke finished off a double-double effort with 22 digs and ten kills, as well as dropping in five service aces. Whitney Berkland distributed the ball for 28 assists as the Indians improve to 4-0 in match play.

The Harris-Lake Park Wolves earned a few game victories despite not gaining a match win at the Spencer Quadrangular. HLP was swept in the conference opener by North Sentral Kossuth, before falling two-game-to-one to both Sioux Central and Spencer. Statistically, Lydia Brandt had 17 kills and Christine Larson had 13. Macy Gunderson notched 27 assists and eight aces, Sam Brueggeman had 19 digs, and Leah Duitsman controlled the net with six blocks.

Emmetsburg was also in action taking on Pocohantas, and came away with a three game sweep, 25-15, 29-27, and 25-13. The EHawks are now 3-5 on the year.

And Ruthven-Ayrshire was able to pull off the three-game sweep against Armstrong-Ringsted.
